MOVEMENTS 2018TAG Farnborough Airport have recorded a new record number of aircraft movements in 2018, 32522 up 14% on 2017. The nearest previous record was set when the world had the financial crash in 2007 with 28399 movements.Numbers are increasing because business aircraft are being squeezed out of Luton and Stansted. Also, Northolt continues to have irregular operations which are likely to become worse with the closure of the airport for 6 months of runway works. The permitted movement numbers for 2018 were 49,000 total movements with 8,750 permitted on weekends and bank holidays. The permitted movement numbers for 2019 are 50,000 total movements with 8,900 permitted on weekends and bank holidays. The restriction on aircraft movements between 50 and 80 tons remains unchanged at 1,500 per annum
